Welcome to Norma’s Café. We are beginning another week here in the café and today I don’t have much to write about. Yesterday only one person stopped in the café so I guess that means everyone was honoring Dad. That is a good thing. I called my sons and son-in-law who are fathers to my grandchildren and wished them Happy Father’s Day. My dad has been gone now since 1987.
The Decorah eaglets are not in camera range but I can hear a call and suspect they are talking to one another.
I am tired from the 5 hour volunteer stint at the performing arts center yesterday. The performance was “Guys and Dolls” and while very well done was long. We were short volunteers so I was in several jobs.
Mainly I manned the balcony doors, took tickets and handed out programs., but I also stuffed playbills, helped a newbie volunteer and the usual clean up after the show.
I have fresh coffee made and can make you tea or cocoa is you are not a coffee drinker. The fridge is stocked with sodas, juice, iced tea and lemonade and of course cold water. Come on in and sit a spell.
What did you do yesterday and what is your day like today? Don’t forget to leave Norma a message,. We all miss you Norma.
