There is one thing that we never seem to want to address in a world of ours and that is the population explosion. Oh, we can address the climate until we are blue in the face and CO2 that is actually irrelevant in climate change, but mention a real catastrophe and people just turn their heads whistle Dixie put their hands over their ears and start to sing La La La La.
Â
Â
Why is that I wonder? Why is it the we do not want to address a little problem that can have catastrophic implications for all of us no matter where we live?
Is it because we don't care? On the other hand, is it because we don't see it as a problem? And why is it that when country's do try to curb their own population explosion they go about it in the wrong way.
Â
Take India in the late 70s they tried to curb their own population explosion but when the world found out what Sanjay Gandhi was doing there was an outpouring of world repulsion that stopped the Indian Government in its tracks. Gandhi ordered the vasectomies of many men and the sterilisation of many women to try and curb his country's population explosion.
Â
Â
Â
The Indian Government offered land, money, loans housing to any person who came forward to have a vasectomy or to be sterilized. Where we saw it, all go wrong was that it was the women of India that bore the brunt of this program with far more Indian women being sterilized than the Indian men having a vasectomy did. Even in 2002-2003, we see a marked difference with the women of India having 4.6 million tubal ligations, compare that to the Indian male population only having 114,426 vasectomies in the same period of time.
Â
Â
India is a large country with a large population the current Population of India in 2012 is 1.22 billion and at the moment it’s estimated that every day there are 51 births in India in every minute of that day. And it is a fact that India adds far more people to this planet than any other nation on this earth at the present time. So was Sanjay Gandhi wrong to try and curb his country's population explosion in the late 70s or could he see what we are now seeing and went about it in the wrong way.
Â
China is another country that has seen a population explosion and like India has tried to address that fact, however unlike India they have seen a remarkable difference since they brought in the one child per household in 1978.
Â
Â
China just beats India with its population with a staggering 1.3 billion people. However, we see that it would be quite higher without the one child per household policy. Just sixty years ago, China had a population of just 563 million and then by 1980 it had grown to one billion. No, matter what you think of China and its one child rule and it has been seen to favour the male species it has curbed their out of control population.
Â
One of the problems with an out of control population explosion is that it puts a financial strain on all countries that have an immigration policy like the United Kingdom. The United Kingdom is quite a small Island with a population of 65 million.
Â
What we are seeing in the UK is an exploding immigration population that is coming in from countries such as India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, that are looking for a far better life than they are ready have.
Â
While the British born person has been educated on birth control over the years, we see the immigrants who are coming into the UK bring with them their own country's habits of having many children.
Â
While the British person will only have one or two children and then stop, we see immigrants having three or four.
Â
It’s a known fact that with far better medication that we now have and with far better eating habits the human race is now beginning to live far longer than we were 100 years ago.
Â
Â
What is the answer to this problem that we all face? Because if we do not address this problem it’s only going to get worse over time.

Wherever I go I see most British family's with two children the exception being firstly the young girls who have got themselves pregnant because they see it has a good step up for getting a home out of our Government and then they think goody goody it worked with one child lets see what I get out of the Government with three or four or even more( we get child benefit for each child in the UK) so they keep on having children to get that welfare. And secondly I see many of the local and not so local immigrants who come into the UK with more than two children and they do not have to be all from India or the rest of Asia many are now coming in from country's such as the Ukraine and we see more than two children.
you're right Char, that is exactly what many young women do. Then they have his salary, the food stamps, the state pays for her kids lunch in school and they just lie and say he doesn't live there.
I did most of the baby care after birth for my three children so I have a pretty good idea what it's like to be a mother.
But mothers have a great ability to look ahead and see whether they have the resources to add an additional expense. (Children in modern times are expensive. It the very old days, they did enough work that they were "profitable.") Only a few women will just unthinkingly get pregnant. The birth rates in Europe and Japan show that.
I think that as teens both girls and boys there is a certain peer pressure put on them to have sex sometimes, so a better sex education can be a Godsend and free contraception as well. In the UK a girl can go to her doctor and he can prescribe the pill for her without the parents consent. While this stops any unwanted children it does not stop sexual transmitted diseases.
And if you were a girl the mums would have to tell the girls what sex was all about usually on the eve of them getting married and usually saying to them! you do know what you have to do on your wedding night don't you? whereas the girls used to say of course I know all about it whereas three months later when a large suddenly appeared they were shocked to discover they were pregnant. They never used to talk about sex like we do now it was if it was a taboo topic.
And what makes me smile about them is that they must have been at it like little rabbits themselves seeing as how many children they had, and our grandparents had even more, my grandparents had twelve children and anther two that died, but it was a taboo subject that was never talked about
Thank God times have changed we told our children about sex as soon as possible and then they got it all again when they were 12 years of age in School.
I would be against forced sterilization, though.
If you want to survive become a lying politician. Lie to the people while you stockpile the food.

And as you rightly say many of them do not speak our language, however I would go a little bit further and say that many do not want to learn our language and want to foist their culture on the host country that's why we see so many ghettos appearing in the large city's in the UK.
Oh how I wish that they would act like the people who live next door to me, they are from Syria but they have embraced our British culture, both man and wife are Muslim but have decided that its inappropriate to wear clothes such as we see most Muslims wearing in the UK, both can speak good English the man was speaking it when he came to the UK the wife did not but in two years can speak it fluently, they invite their friends that they had in Syria for vacations but insist that they wear what we wear while they are in the UK. So we have the odd sight as they get out of his car when he fetches them from the Airport of them wearing all the Arab regalia and then the next time we see them they are dressed as Westerners until the day they go home and then they pile into the car dressed as they would be be in Syria.
The only thing as I can see that they have not embraced is the food that we eat in the UK and I cant blame them for that.
And yet the "progressives" demand that we in the west take the blame and beat ourselves up over this problem.
So it advertises to anyone familar with Alex and his droogs that I don't repond well to being labelled and put in boxes.
And with Clockwork Orange as with Orwell's 1984, Huxley's Brave New World and Ray Bradbury's Farenheit 451, it's scary how much of the dystopian vision has become or is becoming true.
Anyway, when we were both much younger I looked a bit like Malcolm McDowell (he's about 5 years older than me)
I've been saying that for many years. A movie I saw as a kid: The Lathe of Heaven is also coming true. I feel I should add here, while not a racist, anyone with a bit of common sense should not only see it happening but also know the end of that book/movie will be fulfilled some day.
Interesting to read this today. While at a pool party yesterday the subject of China taking over the world some day soon due to population and greed.
China's one child policy has created a new problem. Because of the preference for boys in eastern societies a lot of female foetuses were aborted and now they have a serious imbalance. I could be flippant and say now is a good time to invest in Chinese brothels, but sooner or later there has to be a balancing.
Anyone else noticed how belligerent Cinha has been sounding towards the west recently?
This is the problem we are living far to long, its OK If you have all your faculty's and can just depend on yourself or your immediate family, but how dignified is it to crap yourself, and pee yourself or just sit there full of drugs that are keeping you alive staring into space?
Last year I met a person who would have been my mother if my father had not given me up for adoption after my mother died, its a long story but my father married again after he had given me up for adoption. She is a lovely old woman of 87 years of age and I go to see her every week. She says most weeks that I see her that she is waiting for God in other words waiting to die. She cant see as she has lost the sight nearly in both eyes so she cant read, she cant go out unless someone takes her, she is incontinent and suffers baldly from arthritis that is leaving her in pain 24/24 and its only the drugs that are keeping her alive.
I had one child because being divorced, I could only afford one child and as hard as it is to raise children , I thought that maybe, I could do right by her and give her what I could, if anymore came along, I just couldnt do it... I am not perfect but I tried to be there for her and spent many an evening getting her to Girl Scouts, private piano lessons, band , baseball (when in season) karate lessons, gymnastics, I think this is all... but it kept her involved and busy...As most of you now, its a full time job raising children...
I think many people dont think about the child, they think about themselves.. I can give examples of a man and a woman remarried both had two by previous marriages, then decide to have one by each other.. She had a history of having trouble with pregnancies, miscarraiges, even one born dead but they did it anyway... Another woman had many( no joke) many miscarraiges, one child born dead and still kept on getting pregnant because she wanted more kids until she had twins, now the thing about this story, is she had two by the same guy , they did not raise them her parents did.. I think this was to help her mother get food stamps, and welfare for them... Now they all live in the same small house together... But the welfare is still contributing.. If the welfare went after some of these dead beat parents and make them responsible, maybe, they would think twice before popping out enough kids to have a baseball team... Look, at those ones on tv... 16 kids and still counting.. look at the Occumom or whatever their names are... Hollywood and the media give them attention... I think there should be a law if you have over two, NO deductions on income taxes, NO welfare help... NO rewards...
How much more can this earth support?
