Justin Bieber already has a lot going for him—from his hot girlfriend, Selena Gomez, to his heart-throb status among a countless crush of fans, to his super-successful music career and his latest chart-topping "Boyfriend" track, not to mention his fragrances, his charity work and more. But it seems he may have just upped his "it" factor even more when he broke out a British accent during a recent interview. Was he trying to impress Gomez and his Beliebers?
Some of Hollywood's hottest hunks and pop sensations of the moment have it: that English lilt. From Robert Pattinson to the boys of One Direction, they all charm followers from the second they speak. And the Biebs proved he can hang with the Brits! He sat down with Capital radio station, where he promised to do the whole interview in a British accent. And that he did—and quite well, actually!
Dressed in a hip-hop-casual and rocking his now-signature spiked hair, Bieber talked about everything from the Rolex (a sentimental present) he lost in Las Vegas to his protegé, Carly Rae Jepsen, and her hit song, "Call Me Maybe." He also alluded to his future plans and said he hoped to win a Grammy and do some action movies. After all, he has a "black belt... a black Louis Vuitton belt," the "Baby" singer joked.
While it was obvious that Justin Bieber was concentrating quite a bit on making sure to maintain the accent (and he even admitted as much, laughing at one point and saying, "I can't do this!"), he pulled it off like a pro during the four-minute one-on-one with the radio host. He definitely has the knack... wonder if he can do any other accents?!
And, any stumbles or misspoken words aside, Bieber was quite confident by the end, even teasing, "I should talk like this all the time." Gomez had to be giggling throughout the entire interview, if she happened to catch the clip.
