Ian Somerhalder Eyes '50 Shades' Role Sans Nina...

Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev's names came up when people began talking about who would play Christian Grey and Ana Steele in the 50 Shades of Grey movie. Although Nina had said that she would like to do separate projects from her boyfriend (since they do The Vampire Diaries

together), Ian seems to still be very interested in landing the sexy role... and you'd never guess who he wants his co-star (read bed-buddy) to be.

"Id so love to be Christian Grey with you and Angelina Jolie. I've only waited 10 years to do a movie with you. I'm grown up nowÂ—no worries," Ian tweeted to his writer friend, Bret Easton Ellis. Jolie is rumored to direct the film; however nothing has been confirmed just yet. It is clear, however, that Ian would like to work with her if he's given the opportunity to take on Mr. Grey.

Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev would be perfect for 50 Shades of Grey, but it is unknown if they are even in talks with anyone about reading for the film. If they don't do the movie together, it definitely sounds like Ian's wishes could come true. This film would totally Robert Pattinson-ize him, don't you think?

I don't like Ian Somerhalder for the role of christian and Nina Dobrev even less,they don't really fit the description,Ian is too short and Nina does not have big blue eyes,If they don't go by how the book was written there are going to be angry fans everywhere....I personally like Henry Cavil and Brooke Williams for the lead roles

Okay, first things first. He was not meaning by that that he wanted Angelina Jolie to co-star with him as Anastasia. He said that when thr rumor of Jolie directing was still in cirrculation. Anyone with half a mind would know that. I am sorry if that sounds harsh, but it's true. It doesn't take a genius to figure that one out. Also, Ian would make a wonderful Christian. Yes, he is sort of short, but they have ways in Hollywood of making him appear taller. It really isn't all that hard to accomplish. He is, as of now, the most passionate fan candidate. he is really putting himself out there, trying his dammedest to get the role, and he would kick ass at it. If he doesn't get it, he doesn't get it. Simple as that. E.L. James is the one who is going to have the final say in who plays who, so we can all toss out who we want, but in the end, it won't matter. She is going to find people that fit her vision of them, not ours. If it disappoints a lot of fans, than it disappoints a lot of fans. Would I love it if Ian was Christian, yes, but I would aslo be okay with someone else, that fits James' vision of him more, if Ian does not do that for her.

Actually there were also rumors that Jolie was going to star in the film. Maybe not as Ana, but someone else. However, you're correct, Ian was referring to her as director not actress. Thanks.
