Â
Kim is our foundation's Vice President, Lil Shun is her son. Â I think the best way to introduce you is his story in his mom's words being told from him.
Â
I was born Nov 10 1996 to my mommy and daddy at 6:11 in the morning. I have a big brother Matthew and a big sister Arianna. I was born 2 months premature weighing 4 pounds 4 ounces and 17 inches long. I had to stay in the hospital for 2 weeks. I finally came home to my family. My Grandma, Grandpa, big brother and big sister were there waiting for me. I was happy to be home. I was a very good Baby. On Feb 13, 1997 I went home to Heaven where my Great Grandma and Great Grandpa were waiting for me with open arms. When my Mommy came home from work I was already asleep with the Angels. The next day the autopsy showed I was being abused. I had a skull fracture, broken ribs old and new, an old fracture to my wrist and ankle. The police said my daddy did this to me. The reports said because I would not stop crying he tossed me into my bed but my head hit the dresser. They arrested him! My Mommy, Brother, Sister, Grandma and Grandpa were all very sad. They loved me very much. My Abuser was charged with First Degree Murder but that charge was dropped in court because of a technicality. He was then charged with aggravated battery to a child. He was released from prison May of 2010. I am now my Mommys Angel.
Â
I made this for Kim in hopes of helping her feel better.

Â
She now needs our help it only takes a few seconds to do. Â Lil Shun's abuser, Â Rayshun Pelt only received 13 1/2 years , Lil Shun received life taken. Now Rayshun thinks he deserves early release from parole. If this wasn't bad enough he has never paid child support for Lil Shun's siblings. Is this a man that paid his dept to society? A child is not a technicality so we are asking for you to please ask them not to give him early parole.
Â
Court date is July 16, 2012 9AM in the Will County Court House

Will you sign? Will you please share? Â All signatures we are sending to the parole board. Â I plead with you as you all know I consider all of Baby James Foundation my family. Â Please help us give Lil Shun justice.
Â
I also ask to not tell us these petitions don't work. The only thing that don't work is doing nothing at all.

DIVIDED we fall
I signed !
And many prayers are being sent up for the family!
I also had to raise a noisy child who "wouldn't stop crying", so my opinion is that he should rot in jail.
What sort of cockamamie message is that?
As I say over and over they nail the ones they shouldn't and let others go that they should. Not saying stealing they shouldn't be punished, not 100 yrs though.
I am so sorry. I know many young children who were raped repeatedly as they grew up and it just breaks my heart. I hope you are able to heal.
Nor was I beaten or treated as roughly as so many have been. He just let me think it was normal.
I am so sorry it happened to you as well Sharon. I hate hearing when it is someone else as well means another survivor that never should of been. Thank You
Could you email me the link to your story?
I have trouble sending email from my box. Have reported it several times, but no difference.
Sharon
The fact that this petition is even made available. I mean this should not even be a thought that we should have to consider. This person should not be up for parole! The family should NOT have to relive the pain, nor should they worry that society may have to deal with this person in their midst!
I can only imagine the pain that is being brought back to the surface as a result of the law making the decision to let him out! How can this happen!?!
I will have to be careful how I word it but I think I can add this in the Monday edition.
Why are people signing?
Because it is time to right a wrong!
Thank you very much for advocacy for children. It is so very important and needed. It is greatly appreciated by all.
Many times i have wondered why I thought at my age I could care for children. But I know who gives me the strength to never give up.
I am so proud of you for what you are doing.Hugs and prayers are with you Renee.
Happy Birthday, Renee!
Happy late Birthday.
Here to make it rain some points for your birthday. Sorry I'm late!
