The Hunger Games' sequel Catching Fire casting is finally underway. Anticipation has been building with fans speculating on who would get what coveted role. Now, there's been official confirmation that the first Catching Fire role may have been filled. And (drum roll please), the role is that of Head Gamemaker Plutarch Heavensbee. The lucky actor potentially cast for it is Philip Seymour Hoffman.
Hoffman's career spans decades and his resume is littered with important roles. A leading man he is not but an employed desired actor he is. He was reportedly offered the role on Monday but there's no confirmation as to whether or not he's accepted it. Frankly, the only way Hoffman or any actor wouldn't accept it is because their schedule is already filled.
Philip Seymour Hoffman was among several actors fans had speculated would get the role of Plutarch Heavensbee. Apparently, fans knew what they were talking about.
The movie's leading actress, Jennifer Lawrence, was spotted talking to its director, Francis Lawrence, just a few days ago. Perhaps they were discussing the casting.
Do you agree with this offer? Do you think Hunger Games' sequel Catching Fire will benefit from Hoffman?
