The Vampire Diaries' Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev are incredible actors but they are so much more than just that. Throughout their careers, Ian and Nina have shown support for several projects, causes, and people.
Their latest show of support was for animal rights; environmental activist Paul Watson who is best known as the passion-filled captain of the Sea Shepherd on Animal Planets' Whale Wars. The other person getting support is climber Spencer West of the Redefine Possible campaign. He was a double amputee at the age of five; and now as an adult, he's on a mission to climb Mount Kilimanjaro.
Earlier today, Somerhalder tetweed a ink from one of his followers. The follower's tweet read, "S.O.S. WORLD" with a link asking for fans to help save Captain Watson from being extradited to Costa Rica from Germany.

Dobrev on the other hand, tweeted, "Help support @spencer2theWest's #RedefinePossible climb! Follow his journey http://on.fb.me/SpencerWest."
Paul Watson and Spencer West are two extraordinary men whose journeys are worlds apart. However, they both manage to inspire those around them to believe in something greater. You can do your part by helping Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev show Watson and West support.
