Selena Gomez is slowly transforming her squeaky-clean Disney girl image into a gorgeous young woman who is serious about acting and singing as an adult. She has taken on edgier roles and has been dressing a little more provocatively lately, but that is pretty much her limit.
Recently, the singer participated in a skit for the website, Funny or Die. In the skit, Selena parodied the extremely popular and very erotic romance novel, Fifty Shades of Grey. Selena's version of the story was nowhere near as steamy as the original works and that is the way she plans on keeping it. She reveals she did read the very beginning of the book, but is not admitting to anything more.
Selena explains, "I started to read it, and I was like, 'Oh, this is spicy.' So I thought it was good. It was intriguing." Not intriguing enough for her to star in the movie adaptation. When asked if she is considering the lead role for the film, she quickly shoots down that rumor. "I know I'm taking risks, but I don't think I could do that! That would be a little too much for me. I think someone older should do that part."
Whew! Selena Gomez's image would never be the same if she tried to play the role of Anastasia. It would be really hard to imagine the girl from Waverly Place acting like that. Some things are better left alone and her good girl image is one of them.
