A Criminal Enterprise

The Criminal Enterprise run from the Oval Office by President Richard Nixon may not have been unique in American History but to date it is the only one to be as blatant in its execution and its arrogance. Nixon went so far as to try and blackmail President Lyndon B. Johnson. We know most of what Nixon did and history may tell us the rest. In the meantime just listen to the tapes and you'll hear a criminal plot the destruction of American Democracy.

Yet even after his crimes became public knowledge, many supported him and thought him a find President. His crimes against our system of government were considered trivial in comparison with the private life crimes of President Clinton, for example. It shows why democratic forms of government tend to be so brief.
