Amber Portwood tries to commit suicide. It must be the reality of facing prison for drug use. She is addicted, and right now, suicide seemed to be the only escape. Someone should take a good hard look at MTV and the show "Teen Mom."
These girls are too young to have babies never mind to be made public fodder for tabloid news. This is serious for Amber Portwood. She may lose everything in life; her child, her career, and her life.
It's good to know that her boyfriend in still in her life. Someone called 911 to report the attempted suicide.
According to Radar, "A police statement reads: 'Late this morning (11:34 a.m.), Anderson Police responded to a call at a residence in the 1300 block of Pleasant Meadow Drive. According to the caller, 21-year-old Amber L. Portwood was depressed and threatening to end her life. The victim, who did not appear to be injured, was transported to a local medical facility for further evaluation.'”
I hope this young woman gets the help she needs, and that her child is away from her until she is better.

Many will defend Teen mom and sing praise about its depiction of life for teen parents. While it does show parts of the struggle to be a teen parent it also thrusts these teens into the spotlight giving them one more thing to worry about. All they should be worried about is being the best parent they can be not when the cameras are filming and dodging people that dislike you on TV and so on. It's taking these teens and making them a sort of a child star. And as we all know child stars almost always turn to drugs. It seems that some of the parents do well while on the show, but some like Amber and Jenelle just are facing one trouble after another.
The sad thing is that their children wind up growing up without a mother, which might not be such a bad thing if these mothers cannot successfully get their act together.
