The soap opera that is the Orlando Magic has taken some funny turns this past NBA season. Now the team is searching for a new head coach, something that many experts feel was the result of Dwight Howard, but the team needs to get this all behind them, and the best option is to trade their All-Star center.
The Latest rumor from Hunter Konsens suggests that New Orleans packages their first overall pick in the draft, along with Emeka Okafor and Trevor Ariza, and send them to the Magic for Howard.
Orlando would get a viable backup center, a good defensive forward, and Anthony Davis from Kentucky and rid themselves of the problems that are bringing this franchise to its knees. Also, sending their star big man to New Orleans would be like a slap in the face on his way out the door.
This NBA off-season is likely to see some big changes to several franchises, and New Orleans could use some good news. Orlando would add some terrific talent and depth to their roster, and this deal could actually benefit both squads, a win-win for the league and these two teams.
