"Tiger Lily is the princess of the Tribe of Indians (Native Americans) living on the island of Neverland. Tiger Lily is nearly killed by Captain Hook when she is seen boarding the Jolly Roger with a knife in her mouth, but Peter saves her. In the earlier versions of Peter Pan, it is assumed that she disapproves of Wendy and even Tinker Bell at one point because of her envy as sheis believed to have once had romantic feelings for Peter Pan."(From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia)
But wait! I remember Tiger Lily on Peter Pan. While I was watering my flowers this morning I thought of her.
Â
What fun we had watching Peter Pan as children. It is amazing that Tiger Lilies are still among my favorite things in life at this ripe old age! If only I had more colors of these beautiful flowers.

Â
I was thinking about making a flower bed of Lilies and putting every color I can find in it. Then I can take all sorts of photos in the Spring and Summer. Until then I only have these colors that I am posting. They really are pretty this Spring.

My garden is my most favorite place to spend time. The beauty in watching the growth of just some of the things I love is a wonderful blessing to me. I hope you have enjoyed sharing this with me. It is certainly wonderful to see the beautiful things in your life here on Gather!- Have a great week! Angela Faith : )

I also like finding deals at walmart and lowes when they get marked down after they bloom out and then I have them for the following year at a decent price.
What is the name of the variety in the last image you posted above, Angela?
I don't believe I have that color. ;o)
thanks Angela! :O)
With the science kind of info you included, I would love to have this in my group Science In An Eclectic Universe!! I hope you'll consider posting it there.
I love to see the day lilies in big clumps along our dirt roads.
We have a mystery lily about 4 or 5 ft. tall, white and the scent is heady like a carnation.
Any idea what it might be called?
