Hilary Duff gave birth to her son Luca earlier this year and while she was pregnant, she was getting lots of support from her NHL husband, Mike Comrie. Mike even retired from the NHL when his wife was about to give birth, because he wanted to be there for both her and his son. He didn't want to risk his body and well-being for his son. Well, the couple has been somewhat silent after Luca arrived and fans are wondering what little Luca did to the marriage.
Some couples can't handle a newborn child and often start bickering because of the frustration. However, Hilary has nothing but positive things to say about her husband and how he is handling the child. "It's made our marriage strong," Duff recently said in an interview as reported by Us Weekly. "Having a baby is a lot of hard work and you really depend on each other for a lot." It sounds like Hilary Duff and Mike Comrie are actually setting a good example for some Hollywood couples.
"There is so much love . . . you can't imagine it until it happens to you and you look at your husband and you're like, 'We did this together,'" she continues. Of course, Duff and Comrie were married before Luca arrived and it was planned that the couple wanted a child. Now that Luca is here, the connection is even stronger between the couples and she is happy their connection has grown tighter.
Surely, there are tons of couples out there who are both envious and look up to them. Are you surprised that they are doing so well, since Hilary was always a private person when it came to her love life?
