In a recent interview, Justin Bieber revealed the meaning of his song "Be Alright," which is included on his new album Believe. Jelena fans will be ecstatic and haters will clench their fists and cry "Curses, foiled again!" to learn that JB wrote the song about his uniquely loving relationship with Selena Gomez.
Although Justin opened up about all the songs on the new Believe album, he seemed particularly proud of "Be Alright." The Boyfriend singer wrote the song "almost entirely by himself, while in Japan on his last world tour." It's about the difficulty of being in a long-distance relationship and making that relationship work."
"That song is really special to me," Justin explained. "Listeners will be able to get where I'm coming from, because long distance relationships are hard — being overseas, or in a different place in general, and having to maintain a relationship is tough. In the song, I'm letting the other person know that everything's going to be alright."
And of course, the "other person" in Justin Bieber's life is, as the world now knows, Selena Gomez. It's interesting that the song was written last year during the Asian leg of JB's My World Tour. At the time, Jelena hadn't even been together very long. Nevertheless, Justin was already extremely protective and solicitous of her.
Ain't love grand?
