Is Drake dead or alive? That's the question on many fans' minds as the latest death rumors to hit the internet involve Aubrey Graham aka "Drizzy" from YMCMB.
The news of Drake's death is merely a hoax that went viral on Facebook and Twitter late Thursday night, Gossip Cop reports. Apparently the hoax refers to a car accident, but there has not been any sort of incident, and Drake is alive and well. He has been recently involved in a bit of a rap beef involving Pusha T, and previously was in a feud with rapper Common. However, there were no real shots fired in any of these feuds. In fact, they were both just a war of words.
This latest prank comes not long after one was reported earlier in the day about Adam Sandler. It also claimed he had died in a car accident, and was connected to "Global Associated News." It seems there's no end to the celebrity death hoaxes online, which is rather disturbing. There's plenty of Drake haters out there, but his fans probably become genuinely concerned when seeing these sorts of reports.
So a word of advice to all those internet surfers passing around fake death reports, consider the fans before you post it. Also, if it wasn't reported by any genuine source, think twice before retweeting, liking, or posting on Facebook.
