A few months ago I signed up to recieve emails from Brunswick bowling alllies. They send you coupons periodically which is really nice. About a month ago I got an email from them inviting us to a free kids party. You had to be there at 9:00 AM on a Saturday but that was a small price to pay for free bowling. I thought there had to be some sort of a catch but I signed my kids up anyways, my youngest has been bugging me to go bowling so this was a perfect opportunity.
I could not get my 2 older kids out of bed but my youngest was eager to get up and go.
I kept thinking there would be a catch somehow. We got there and had to sign in. Then we had to get in another line where we were assigned a lane and asked what size shoes we needed. When we went to our lane the shoes were already there waiting for us. This was for kids only, the free bowling was just for the kids not the grownups accompanying them, but that was fine. The lanes were all set up with kid sized balls.
There was open bowling for about an hour and then somoene came on the loud speaker and said that they were going to switch to cosmic bowling, this was to warn anyone that has epilepsy or is affected by flashing lights to vacate the building.
Then there was an hour of cosmic bowling. We were sharing a lane with a few other kids and soon they brought out pitchers of lemonade and pizza's for the kids. Of course it was only about 10:00 in the morning, a bit to early for pizza but my son enjoyed it anyways.
Then they had a dance break and every body danced.
After that the kids got to bowl until the end of the 2 hour time frame. Then when they left the kids got goodie bags and ice cream.
We honestly did not have to pay a cent for any of this and I was really impressed. My son had a blast. I am looking forward to the next time that they do this.
So if you have a Brunswick lanes by you and you have kids I highly recommend you sign up for their email alerts.
