Welcome to a fresh new week. I have spotlighted a variety of members and posts. There is no general theme to these spotlights. I hope you find some new members that you have something in common with.
The temperatures are nice and the outdoors are welcoming, as long as you do not have allergies.
What are you doing to energize your mind and body as summer gets closer?
Do you enjoy the outdoors?
Are you remodeling your home this summer?
Are you doing outdoor renovations?
Do you raise a garden?
Do you have fruit trees?

On Friday Jordan graduated High school. The ceremony was held in the Tampa Bay Convention Center. When we got there I could see why - there were over 400 graduates. Jordan wore 3 medals . . .

I've been venturing back into the world of sewing lately. Been years since I used my sewing machine, and judging by the thread that was inside it, the last time I sewed with it was to sew a Cars pillowcase . . . | |

Are you remodeling your home this summer?
Are you doing outdoor renovations?
Do you raise a garden?
Do you have fruit trees?"
Yes to 1,3,4, & 5.
No garden here, as we live in the city and there's not enough room....also, I'm far too lazy to even want one.....we go to the local farmers' markets or to our organic markets for fresh stuff.
Hoping to add some "brick like" siding to the bottom half of the outside of the house.....I've seen some that I absolutely love and it sure would change the appearance of our house.....hope to do some landscaping outdoors, as well. Sooooo much to do, such little time!
it is so much fun to do remodeling in the house, isn't it? The changes you make can make it feel like a new home.
I love landscaping. We have several acres of forest behind our home and I hope to add a gazebo up there some day. Need to get it paid off first.
Good luck with your remodeling. Be sure to take lots of photos and share with us.
I'm trying to get into shape, going back to old hobbies and spending time with the kiddos while having hobby time.
Do you enjoy the outdoors?
I do until it gets overly hot or the bugs get annoying with their bites or buzzing in my ear, lol.
Are you remodeling your home this summer?
No, we aren't. We did most of that last year, though we still are living in the nursery and gosh I just want to paint it already, lol.
Are you doing outdoor renovations?
Nah, only thing we did was plant a tree from Gideon's school. He still has a playhouse to paint, though.
Do you raise a garden?
We don't, but Gideon's trying to raise strawberries. He was doing great with his plant until Anneke grabbed it from the sill and ate the berries. She looked up with a smear of dirt and berries on her cheek and said "Good." Oh, boy, lol.
Do you have fruit trees?
Do you enjoy the outdoors? I love the outdoors especially living way away from town & people.
Are you remodeling your home this summer? I would like to remodel the living room and get new carpeting in the front room for the living room. I would then like to put in hard wood floors in the middle room and turn it into a dining room with a space rug. I would need a few more cabinets in the kitchen to put where the dinning room table and chairs were.
Are you doing outdoor renovations? We have done some like patching the patio concrete and reinforcing the mower house. I would love to put a full deck on from the patio to the pool, But right now we do have the deck on the pool so I think that will have to wait for a little while. I want to get a gazebo type canopy for the patio but I think that will have to wait.
Do you raise a garden? Yes, a small vegetable garden of the veggies we all like & use. I do want to plant a small pumpkin patch for my grandson to watch grow and that he can take pumpkins home with him to carve for Halloween.
Do you have fruit trees? We have no trees at all.
I also want to thank you Connie for putting these goings on together for us. I know it takes time and I thank you for all the good work you do each week for us.
Well time to get reading. Hope all by you is doing better. Hugz girl :)
We are not going on a long road trip for the first time in 11 years. Weird. We are just planning to go to a couple of closer places for a day or so. That is the plan anyway.
I am going to plant tomatoes and chiles, when I clean out the raised bed. It is a royal mess. I also have to clean out the front beds. One of them has a birds nest in it right now though so I can't do anything about it. Don't want to scare the bird or do anything to her nest. The other bed has a big spider web on one side. Ugh. No working there until I can safely get rid of it.
My son has 2 more days of school - half-days - both days of testing. Then he is off. He does not have a job this summer. He will drive me nuts, I am sure.
