Richard Dawson is really dead. This is not an Internet rumor. I checked several sources, and there was a lot of confusion. The truth is that Richard Dawson died on Saturday night from complications of esphogial cancer at the age of 79.

I had to go through several conflicting articles. But I found in the New York Daily News that indeed the host of "Family Feud" is dead. Do you remember him in "Hogan's Heros?"

Richard Dawson hosted the "Family Feud," and was known as the kissing bandit for kissing each and every female contest. He married one of those female contestants, who asked him to stop kissing the women. He obeyed!

Richard Dawson is really dead! RIP!

I remember the name Jean but I don't remember what it was about. I don't think we watched it. Just saw it in passing.

Thanks Carol ... He must have set a record or something with his show. Oops. Maybe not. some of those guys are still going. Like spinning the big wheel to discover what the words of phrase is.

I am sorry he is gone. Will be my day any day now. Guess you know when so many are the one's you have known all your life! :-). I used to watch it every day after school. Sorry to see him go.

Husband just shared with me today about Richard Dawson death. It was on Channel 27 News. He was a very nice guy and made people laugh. He will be sadly missed. R.I. P. Richard Dawson
