Rihanna was recently engaged in a Twitter-fueled love war of sorts with ex Chris Brown and his girlfriend, Karrueche Tran. It seemed to many like it would never end... the provocative photos; the controversial and quite insulting posts; the vitriol. Call it a modern-day girl fight, where the punches, nail-scratching and hair-pulling were all exchanged figuratively in 140 characters or less. But in the second-by-second world of social media, such nastiness is but a distant Twitter-feed memory. RiRi has said she has moved on and it looks like she may have even already found herself another man to collaborate with (he's in the music biz, too)—both professionally and personally!
While they may have offered up the "Birthday Cake" remix, Rihanna and Chris Brown obviously weren't able to have their cake and eat it too, reportedly because Karrueche Tran was in the mix... or the frosting?! But RiRi and Drake? That duo may be another story.
They've worked together on several hit tracks such as her "What's My Name" and his "Take Care," even steaming up the videos for both by playing lovers, as MTV News highlights. Despite acting out some serious love for the cameras, theirs has mainly been a platonic relationship after they broke off the dating thing in 2009—until maybe now.
Indeed, it looks like Rihanna and Drake may be taking their friendship to another level, at least according to an eyewitness at Miami's Liv nightclub, where the two entertainers might have just been channeling "Dirty Dancing." As MTV News reports, the pair got "hot and heavy" last weekend with the "We Found Love" singer "all over Drake." "They were holding hands and dancing all close on the dance floor," the source said.
Well, one night of dancing does not make a relationship. But perhaps these two singers are turning up the sizzle once again and entering the so-called dating game yet again. Second time's a charm?
