The YMCMB Drake and Lil Wayne vs. Pusha T G.O.O.D Music beef may be on hold momentarily. Just recently, T Boone Pickens stepped into the mix to school Drizzy about making money. So is the Young Money & Cash Money Billionaire star going to have to create a diss track about the rich businessman, or was it all in good fun?
A report from SPIN magazine captures the latest story, which may not really be a feud, but still makes for funny social media banter. It started with Drake's simple tweet "The first million is the hardest." Pickens, an 84-year-old billionaire behind the BP capital company, was informed of the comment by a social media coordinator. Reportedly, the oil tycoon laughed over it, and then fired back his own tweet response saying "The first billion is a helluva lot harder." Drizzy, who got seriously schooled on money matters, later responded with: "@boonepickens just stunted on me heavy."
This certainly made for a humorous interaction between the business and hip hop worlds, although they are always merging. In the past, rapper Jay-Z has not only befriended and done interviews side-by-side with Warren Buffet, he was also rumored to be naming him as his daughter's Godfather. So it's not all that odd to see billionaire businessmen and aspiring-millionaire or billionaire hip hop stars rubbing elbows. The fact it happened on Twitter gave both guys more audience, and possibly more following, whether it be on, or offline.
