Movie Review

I had a hard time deciding which movie to watch on my birthday with 3 really excellent choices and didn't end up deciding until 2 hours before the movies starting time. I was down to Dark Shadows and The Avengers, which has had a lot of sold out screens in this area. Finally, decided to see The Avengers after more people suggested it then Dark Shadows today. I asked on this board and on the telephone to everyone I talked with about movies.

First I had watched a couple of the other Marvel Movies and knew the actors would do a good job with their roles and from beginning to end I enjoyed the movie. If you see the movie stay through the credits or you will miss 2 extra scenes and the first is priceless.

I'm certain this one we will buy to see again. I don't suggest this movie for really young people lots of violence and I just about jumped out of seat during one scene.

I'm glad you saw The Avengers! I too enjoyed it and I loved the actors. There was a good balance of humor mixed with action. Again, the actors are the ones who made the movie and now I can't wait for the sequel and individual character movies.

Everyone seems to love it. I'll probably end up renting it, and I'd like to see Thor before I see The Avengers.

thanks for the review, we love Marvel character films. my son saw the first Spiderman film 2 times in the theatre and too many times on DVD.

We saw the Avengers opening weekend. My son is really into superheroes right now, so he was counting down the days until it came out. We took him to see it, and we thought it was fine for him, but we've had lots of important discussions about reality versus TV, and why violence isn't ok in real life.

My husband and I saw Dark Shadows last week for our anniversary as well. It was pretty good, but I do think Avengers is the better one of the two.
