Remember the true meaning of this weekend.
I talk to my son, he will be at the Arlington Cementary on monday, and he said there will be media so I will look for him,, I am so damn proud of him.. And all the other Military folks now and from the past.
here is a picture I found on Facebook, so I thought I share it here..
I think it is cute, I guess the story behind it is that one guy was told he couldnt hang his flag in his yard due to HOA, so he painted his house..

SALUTE TO ALL OF OUR SERVICEMEN AND WOMEN!!
I come from a proud military family.....even had an uncle in WW I lie about his age (he was only 16), as he wanted to go to war soooo badly and serve his country......and yes, Uncle Vern got into the Army and was sent overseas to fight.....at the young age of 16!!!!! Even though he got his entire body shot full of mustard gas, he was always proud to be able to live long enough to tell his story (he lived to be about 85 years old!). Also, my dad and uncle on Mom's side, both were in the Army and sent to France in WW II......would you believe, they were stationed only 10 miles apart from each other and never even knew it till many years later!!!!! My hubby, also, served in the Army and spent time in Korea.......hubby and I met in the Army Reserves even........LOL!!!!!!
What an honor for your son to be at Arlington Cemetery.....I've visited there once.......it is quite a sight to see......brought lots of tears to my eyes, as well.
Stay safe, and have a good weekend!
You should be very proud of your son.
My dad was in the army. In the late 1940's. He was honorably discharged. I have all of his medals.
