While the girls of Teen Mom may not make the millions that many assume, they do get paid to share their stories and deserve to spend a little bit of the money on themselves. Recently, Jenelle Evans spent some of her money on a boob job and on Wednesday, she showed off her latest splurge - a new car!
Jenelle revealed earlier in the week that, not only were she and Gary house hunting, but that she would be going to look at some Volkswagen Jettas. She must have found one that she liked because she tweeted a pic of her new car with the words, "Fresh new jetta :)"
Some have berated, not only Jenelle Evans, but the other girls whenever they spend money. They all have money set aside for their children in savings accounts, so why not let the moms have some fun as well? Even regular teen moms who don't have their own show spend money every now and then.
Of course, while a boob job may not have been necessary, no one can deny that Jenelle needs a car and this is certainly a smart investment. She even made sure to get a car that was stylish, but still economical, rather than throwing money down on a gas guzzling SUV.
Even though it may irk people to see these girls spend money, they deserve to. They have opened their lives up, giving away any right to privacy. While they may not be struggling financially, they still show teen girls that being a young (and in may situations, single) parent is hard. Even with all of the money in the world, raising a child is still a tough job.
