Bruce Jenner, the "invisible patriarch" of the Keeping Up With the Kardashians gang, has been named "Father of the Year" by Esquire magazine. What did the former Olympian do to deserve this honor?
According to a report from Yahoo, it seems at least part of the reason the award was bestowed upon Jenner is his easy going manner and how quickly he adapts to whatever wife Kris Jenner, and his houseful of Jenner and Kardashian women need him to do.
Jenner won a gold medal for running the decathalon in the 1976 Olympics in Montreal.
"I'm done with competition," he says these days, however.
Now he seems perfectly content to babysit a grandchild, take daughters Kylie and Kendall Jenner back and forth to school, and live in a house very clearly dedicated to these girls as well as Kourtney, Khloe and Kim Kardashian.
Bruce Jenner admits that his is a bit of an emasculated role given his athletic past, but again he takes that in stride, too. He can sometimes, however, be found outside in the backyard playing with his Goblin 700 remote-control helicopter.

Do you suppose this new title Bruce now bears will cause wife Kris Jenner to treat him any better? She practically ignores the poor guy most of the time. A little attention might be nice, Kris! After all, he's a "somebody" again. Now he's "Father of the Year!"
