The volcano called Fuego is erupting in Guatemala spewing ash, fire, and rocks. This volcano has erupted before, and I got to see it. The whole country of Guatemala is basically a lush volcanic region.
The earth beneath your feet shakes on a regular basis. I was there in 1995, and I witnessed the majesty of this volcano, but this is different. Fuego seems to be really angry, and the volcano is putting on quite the display.
It is ironic that the Mayan picked this year for the end of the world, but it may just be the end of Guatemala, which is the heart of Mayan culture.
