Although she wasn't picked for Teen Mom, Nikkole Paulun had a harrowing story that was chronicled on MTV's 16 and Pregnant. Now older and in college, Nikkole still has fans that she keeps in the loop with what is going on in her life, but earlier this week, she shocked them all when she posted on Facebook that she was married. However, what was more shocking is that she put her status as "married" to Josh Drummonds, the father of her baby.
In case you haven't kept up with Nikkole (or you missed her episode), Josh didn't exactly treat Nikkole that great and he had an even bigger problem—he was a drug addict. Over the years, things got worse, before finally getting better. He has reportedly been spending time with his son and is doing better.
So, since things are looking up, did he and Nikkole tie the knot? Nope! While the 16 and Pregnant star did indeed change her relationship status to reflect just that, she is now saying that she is single, but explained why she made the change on her social networking site.
Apparently, Nikkole's mom likes to creep her Facebook, so she wanted to shock her mom. Since her fans were just as shocked, chances are it probably worked on her mom just as well!
Nikkole isn't the first teen to have her mom checking up on her via social networking. A lot of kids today face that same issue. Of course, parents have a right to know what their kids are doing online, but depending on their age, there is a certain amount of privacy that should be respected.
