Its that time of year when the school year draws to a close. My school gets out on June 8th so in exactly two weeks school will be out. I'm sad to see the school year ending since several of the kids I've been working with all year will be heading over to the high school. But, it means new kiddos come fall :) Since its so close to the end of the year, there isn't a need for substitutes (they can have other staff like teacher assistants, take over). I do have a babysitting job almost guaranteed for the summer, but it still leaves serious gaps (I like working).
I did have a promising job interview yesterday at a school for special needs children. It was one of the best (if not the best) interviews that I've done and after I left they called my references (which is a good sign!) I loved the school and the people so I'm praying I get the job. I had to do my first teaching demo and I got good reviews and positive response from the kids :)
In light of summer break coming, I've been working on my annual summer goals list. I'm doing things differently this year and trying to make a list of 80ish goals. Most are straight-forward and easy goals like reading a certain book or registering for classes. To me, summer is always rejuvenating and its my second favorite season after Spring. It's also a time to be productive since I function best when the weather is warm and sunny. I'm counting down until June 9th when I can officially start my goals :)
I'm going to see The Avengers with a friend this evening. We've been counting down the days until we see it too. She's seen it once already with her husband, but since we share the same favoritism towards a certain actor, she doesn't mind the second viewing. I can still get a student discount too, which is awesome!

i hope U get that job at the school. Sounds like a very successful interview. Good luck with that. I am sure you will fill your summer with a lot of things. I bet you reach all your goals.
