This guy's ethical yardstick is seriously broken, and the idea of him as President of these United States is equal to, if not more troubling than that of George Bush, in my mind. A day or two ago, I talked about his part in bilking the government of 25 mil in just one Bain ploy. I have talked about his refusal to give anything more than cursory disdain for the customary financial disclosure that all previous presidential candidates since it's institution, have complied with. I have talked about his changes of position with the wind, on a myriad of subjects, and today I want to talk about something else
. There is a pattern throughout Romney's career, that says he has nothing to stand for, no moral compass, no core beliefs, at least any that apply to anyone outside of his family, or his religion, that is frightening to me, It is a pattern that anyone that recognizes the difficulties that will face us over the next four years should seriously consider before elevating this guy to our nation's highest office.
That, to me, would be like deciding to abandon the slow but steady progress of advancement, and embrace, again, unethical growth, then decline. I have no doubts that Romney, like Bush, would have no problem spurring growth, I am only afraid he would do it the same way Bush did, with the housing and financial markets, by artificial inflation of an industry, that will set us up for the same kind of hard landing Bush left for us to deal with. This kind of man is how we find ourselves in the position we are in, and this kind of man, will make things worse, not better. If I had to sum Romney up in just a few words, it would just be this- Barely legal, Clever, Deceitful, and entirely unethical.

Ron "recognizes the difficulties that will face us over the next four years"
Ah ha ha. Yes sir, since we've just gone through 3 1/2 yrs of a flaming liar, we would recognize it if it turned out Romney was a liar too. You haven't offered anything substantial yet.
But I do know I have heard him lie many times. Sometimes I cannot believe how he has the nerve to say some of the things he says. From now on, I'll keep my own list. Sorry.
Let's see.... Obama had 100 lies in the first few months. In 3 1/2 years, how many has he had? And flip-flopping. Let's talk about gay marriage and Obama...
The economy? No one has ever done as badly as our current president. He has no clue about how the real world works since he's never been a part of it.
And his books?
Let's see. The one you reference above in the picture debuted at the top of the New York Times Best Seller list. Was that because of bulk sales? Probably so. It's the same thing that happens with many authors. The next week it was #4. Now that he's this far in the presidential race, I'm sure that book and his other one - Turnaround: Crisis, Leadership, and the Olympic Games -will do even better....much like Obama's books sold after he was a somebody. :)
At least Romney isn't using his books as his only resume. He has successes to which he can point, unlike Obama - in his past as a "community organizer" and his present as president are not very noteworthy.
Ron "as I have provided evidence for my articles, or is that empty rhetoric?"
But you would be surprised what we see in articles you are comfortable with that we mistrust.
I'll give an illustration or comment feeling very comfortable with it, and one of you stronger ones will point out your view that I hadn't considered. Or I automatically dismiss one of the speakers because I don't count him as trustworthy.
Maybe it would be more helpful if we shared the doubts we have on others post. I should help both to read their offering through the others eyes.
I'll bring you a list. I have a table and pen sitting here to record what I hear :)
tablet & pen
Later ... :) Lots later.
I don't remember... but considering Obama's composite girl friends...I don't think it much of an issue!
Whats the difference they are politicians they lie and tell you what they think you want to hear to get your vote.
The difference is that you need them in office to push your progressive ideology and I don't
GOOOH
David, "some people know how to play the system in all manner of deceit."
You're right David. Some people are very manipulative with lies. Truth is we all have to fight ourselves not to embelish. It is in the heart of human being and we are all prone to lie to look a little better & to make our side of the argument sound more convincing.
It is a worthy effort to be so transparent that people really know you.
You know every once in a while you know someone that is so detailed minded, and so focused on accuracy that they are a breath of fresh air. Sometime you can almost recognize them after a few moments of listening to talk to someone.
Robert, was that sarcasm or a statement of fact? :) It sounds pro Cheney. I love him to death. But I will admit I've listened to so many things against him that I'm always wondering if I'm wrong about his integrity or if people are just playing their deceit game.
Thanks.
Oh, dear. Oh, dear me.
