Mixed martial arts has shown its popularity once again, as fans have been looking for the latest winners and losers from a live televised event. According to UFC.com, the main event saw Chan Sung Jung, aka the "Korean Zombie," defeat Dustin Poirier. The "Zombie" won this one with a round 4 submission. Also winning tonight was Donald Cerone over Jeremy Stephens in a round 3 unanimous decision, and Amir Sadollah over Jorge Lopez in a split decision.
Other winners included Yves Jabouin, Igor Pokrajac, Brad Tavares, Cody McKenzie, TJ G rant, and Johnny Eduardo. They all picked up victories after three rounds of fighting with unanimous decisions. Meanwhile, there was one KO/TKO on the results as Tom Lawlor defeated Jason MacDonald. Also, Rafael Dos Anjos picked up a round 1 submission victory over Kamal Shalorus.
Overall, some may call this a lackluster event with all the decision wins after three rounds, while some purists may enjoy MMA fights that have to be decided at the end. This latest MMA event was held in Fairfax, Virginia, and will serve as a warm up or precursor to Saturday's huge Pay-Per-View.
