Glee season 3 has already shown Santana's grandmother's reaction to her sexuality—it wasn't what she had hoped—and now the series is bringing in Gloria Estefan in the finale. How will she react? She definitely supports her daughter, and there are finally some details out about what's coming up when Estefan appears.
Season 3 Finale "Goodbye" Spoilers
Naya Rivera talked to The Hollywood Reporter about what's coming up when Estefan appears, describing her as "very much the supportive mother—and fun!" Unfortunately, there's not going to be a duet between Estefan and Rivera (imagine how good that would've been!) as Estefan isn't singing in the episode. However, she will be joining Santana and Brittany for a meal at Breadstix in what has been described as "a 'cute' scene." Fans have been waiting to see Estefan guest starring since they announced she would be, and it's been quite the wait. Will it end up being worth it?
Meanwhile, "Brittana" is a couple that could be separated by distance at the end of the year since it's unclear if Brittany will graduate and it's uncertain where Santana will end up. According to Rivera, "Santana just wants to be a star; she definitely will be pursuing that. The big question is, is the University of Louisville big enough for Santana? I don't have a preference as long as I'm still involved with the show, which I am, in any capacity." She called the season finale "very, very sweet" when talking about what's coming up for her and Heather Morris' characters, stressing "it's not an ending." It sounds like Brittany and Santana will be together when the season ends and may very well be part of season 4. They have been a very cute couple all season, and it would be unfortunate to see that come to an end. However, something's going to be changing in the finale, for better or for worse, because that's what happens with graduation. Will whatever happens just solidify them as a couple for the future?
