HAPPY BELATED MOTHER'S DAY TO ALL!!

I hope each of you had a great Mother's Day!

My Mother's day was busy with phone calls. Called my baby sister, my Mom, cousin, but, she was in Laredo, and Rebecca, but, she didn't pick up.

My mom invited us over to her house because my stepfather was having a cookout. He's a great cook, so, I told her that we would be there about 3pm, which turned out to be more like 4pm. After we ate chicken, sausage, pork ribs, rice, and beans, we sat outside on my Mom's porch where we listened to music, laughed, played with my nephew's kids, and chatted. We gave my Mom a card with money in it, which made her very happy. She gave me a card and a huge bottle of Merlot. Yum!!

George surprised me with sterling silver earrings, which I wore to my Mom's house. My other nephew, Chris, stopped by and shared some of his insight into the movies of today compared to the movies of yesteryear.

Finally, it was time to leave, but, not before, my stepfather asked me if we were giving Natalie a graduation party. I told him that Natalie didn't seem to want one. He offered to cater it, if we wanted and he offered to have a family party at their house to celebrate her graduation. I thought this was so sweet of him!

When I got home, I received a message from Rebecca wishing me a Happy Mother's Day. It was sweet, too!

How did you spend your Mother's Day? Since Natalie couldn't attend this event because she had to work, George is taking me out to dinner, this evening. YAY!!! I don't have to cook!!! LOL
