Caroline Manzo has been working on distancing herself from the toxic The Real Housewives of New Jersey cast members, such as Teresa Giudice. After being mentioned in Teresa's cookbook, Caroline has distanced herself from Giudice because she didn't feel her apology for the comments was sincere. On Sunday's episode, Caroline was noticeably absent from Kathy Wakile's pool party and she is now justifying why she decided to stay home. In fact, she gives props to Kathy's daughter Victoria for calling it like it is.
"Victoria hit the nail on the head—yes, I stayed away from the pool party on purpose. I've said it before, and I'll say it again. I'm keeping everyone at arms length, because I don't want to be a wedge in the Gorga/Giudice/Wakile issue," Caroline Manzo wrote in her official blog for The Real Housewives of New Jersey. Caroline didn't want to get in between the family's issues and one can respect that. But with her not showing up, she is also making herself the ultimate outcast, at least in Teresa's eyes.
"If I went every move I made would have been analyzed. Who sat with who, what did you say to her, what did she say to you? Not playing, staying away makes the most sense," Caroline continues. It is clear that Caroline isn't referring to Melissa or Kathy when it comes to analyzing the situation. It sounds like Caroline doesn't want to subject herself to Teresa's analysis, because it would just get her all fired up. The last thing they need is to start fighting like they did on the reunion filming last season.
Do you think Caroline made the right decision in staying away from the pool party?
