It is my significant others birthday in 12 days...I have no idea what to do or get. And with a lack of funds I want to come up with something cool but inexpensive. Any ideas?

How about a little more to go on? Or how about a gift card or certificate? I always get iTunes gift cards for Xmas -- there's one idea. If they are on Amazon you can also get recommendations there. Also locally-made gifts are generally much appreciated. Good luck and thanks for the post!

Cook a nice treat. Even simple sugar cookies are better fresh and homemade (you can taste the butter!!!)

Maybe write him a poem or go on a picnic since the weather is warmer? You could make him a special dessert or meal too?

Have you looked up groupon.com? They have lots of options at huge discounts. Take him out before his bday and take lots of pics of him, of you and together create some moments or if you already have pics of special moments create and frame a collage and on each pic write what made that moment special or what makes him special to you. Then make your best dish or his favorite dish for a picnic at the best place to see the sunset, cupcake, candle and his favorite beverage and create a new moment. Remember it’s the feelings put into it that counts not the dollars? Unless you have lots of dollars :-)
