Kelly Bensimon was fired from the Real Housewives of New York after three seasons with the show. She had joined the cast for season two and immediately clashed with fellow housewives Bethenny Frankel and Alex McCord, who are no longer with the show either. Bensimon is now speaking out about getting let go from the show that put her on the map.
"I was kind of expecting it," Bensimon told Celebuzz regarding Bravo terminating her position. "By season four I didn't want to play the game but Bravo was amazing. I just did the scenes I wanted to do and walked out when I felt like it." Seems like a pretty sweet deal.
Bensimon remains grateful for the show which launched her career. "They didn't pressure me to be with anyone, they let me be myself and as a result people said, 'She's the voice of reason.'" She doesn't specify who those people are but the majority of fans thought she was anything but reasonable. Many even called her crazy—including some of her co-stars!
During the interview with Celebuzz, Bensimon addressed her infamous breakdown while on vacation with the other ladies. "I want to apologize to all the fans." Her fans would surely forgive her since she apparently is usually the 'voice of reason.'
Regardless of her status with Bravo, Kelly Bensimon is not short of work. She is currently traveling to promote her just released book I Can Make You Hot: The Supermodels Diet. Could she be following in her arch nemesis Bethenny Frankel's footsteps? Just because they no longer work together doesn't mean they can't still have some competition between the two of them!
