I see a lot of topics on Gather about this subject and decided to talk about it today. We all know its going to happen every year and some of our favorites are always in danger of hearing bad news.
Today I want to let people know there is hope, as look at Cougar Town canceled by ABC and picked up by TBS. Now TBS will have 2 seasons of new episodes and many years of being able to run the old episodes. I think its a smart move for networks to pick up shows that were treated poorly by the network that first aired them.
Can this work for Cougar Town for more than 2 years? I think that its a good fit. Just look at Southland that NBC dumped and TNT has a big hit was renewed for a 5th season recently. Its not the only big success that is still running as the huge hit Project Runway certainly has done well on Lifetime after Bravo let it go. One show I was upset when FOX dumped was America's Most Wanted, which helps get many bad people off the streets and Lifetime picked it up.
There are several other shows no longer airing like Jag, Medium, and Buffy. I'm sure you could all list at least one show that changed networks and was a success.
Could any other shows get picked up this year? I think that is possible. Anyone planning to write letters to the networks? Yes, I have done it when its important to save a show like America's Most Wanted that can make a difference with all the tips given on the show over the years and the host really cares about safety. I keep my doors locked more today, then in my younger years.

What happened to The Gifted Man? I had made that my Friday night show.
I started watching The Client List on Sunday's now.
The Voice is over for the season.....I watch Secret Life of the American Teenagers on Monday, but I think it may have had it's day. Many aren't liking this season.
I am not like Secret Life right now either....
I just read that "GCB" was cancelled along with "Harry's Law". I am pissed. They cancel great shows and put the Kardashian's on and all the other reality shows. Thisis why I watch so much Food Network shows. Nothing good on anywhere else.
I think people should write letters to try saving GCB. My daughter thinks it would be a good choice for Lifetime. I haven't watched it just might check it out. Several people have asked me to help try saving it, as I'm not trying to save anything right now.
I do miss shows; specially, when women over 30 are the stars like I Love Lucy and Carol Burnett to name a couple.
