My computer has been acting up on me for the last several days. It was displaying error messages like, Error connecting to Broadband. I couldn't open IE or my Yahoo Messenger. Originally, we thought it might me the tower because Natalie had tried to connect a router for her new laptop, but, she didn't succeed. George took my tower into the shop where they discovered that it was running just fine!!! Tried to reboot everything with the same problem.
The only way I could get online was using another browser, but, even then, it froze up on me, twice. I was able to do a scan to see if it had a virus and it was clean.
I got so frustrated that I called my ISP. Thankfully, I reached a very patient man who had me disconnecting and reconnecting my modem, opening and closing windows, etc.
After an hour of talking me through steps on how to close both broadband connections, I was back in business!!!!
Don't you just want to scream when your computer has a hissy fit???

Our cell phones were back on in a few hours, but we had to have a technician out at the house about the phone and internet. First the internet worked and not the land line. Then the phone worked, but not the internet connection. They finally realized that with the recent power boost, the modem and router we had were not sufficient, so they gave us a new one. Everything is back to normal again.
But....I had sooooooooooooo many problems talking with the outsourced customer service people that we're probably going to break up our bundle and look for comipanies that are not outsourcing. Are there any???
Grrrr, I need to go to school so I can fix my own stuff, I feel like I've been given the run around. But, I missed the point again, sorry, I'm really glad your puter is up and running again. (I hate sometimers)
Yes, they should have fixed it for you the first time!
Thanks, M L M.
I Hope You can get it running better soon.
