Bernie - movie review

Based on a true story, this is the tale of a young man, working as an assistant funeral director and an older widow.
He's loved by everyone in his adoptive town; she's universally hated.
He does what he could to make her feel better after her husband's death - they become friends and companions... using her money.
She gets more and more possessive of his time.
Therein lies the rub.
NOT as funny for me as it was for others in the audience, but an interesting portrayal by both leads and the other actors was worth seeing.
