 *Since I first wrote this the following have been renewed: The B in Apartment 23, Body of Proof, Up All Night, Whitney, Grimm,  Shark Tank, Nikita, Hart of Dixie, Scandal, and Happy Endings. Canceled are Missing, The River, Are You There, Chelsea? Bent, Awake, The Secret Circle, Harry's Law, The Ringer, CSI: Miami and Best Friends Forever.

 

 Well, while I'm getting over the finale of Vampire Diaries (NOT HAPPY), I thought I'd let those who care know if their shows were picked up. And a few who were canceled.

Renewed: The Middle, Modern Family, Suburgatory, Grey's Anatomy (and actors who play Meredith, Derek, and Alex signed 2 year deals to return), Revenge, Once Upon a Time and Castle.

 Also, on FOX, Touch was renewed, and a 13 episode final season of Fringe was ordered. Also New Girl and Raising Hope. CW renewed 90210, Vampire Diaries, Supernatural, and Gossip Girl (for only a 10 or 11 episode season). NBC renewed Community, 30 Rock (for a 13 episode final season), Smash, and Parks and Recreation.

 ABC has gotten rid of Cougar Town, but TBS picked it up for a 15 episode season to air early in 2013 with an option for a second season. I've never seen passionate fans as these people. I don't watch it, but Twitter goes nuts about it.

 Canceled: FOX got rid of Breaking In, I Hate My Teenage Daughter, Alcatraz, Terra Nova, and The Finder. And of course this is the last season of House.

Nope, I do not watch TV. Cannot afford it. I just am online, all the time, if I am not working. It seems one site and then another will have a glitch. I would be in trouble if they did it simultaneously. MyLot seems to have glitched off the air again.

Wow, a lot of shows were cancelled. I don't think I've even watched any of the newer ones. I don't have cable but I watch a lot of the cable shows on Netflix. I sometimes watch movies on Hulu but their selection isn't very good. Thanks for all the updates Amber. I hate that "House" was canceled, I think I liked that one.

Several cancellations but good that so many are back. I like Castle and I like Vampire Diaries. I am glad they are staying.

We don't watch much network television, and haven't for 3 or years. I don't even recognize the names of some of those shows. Most of the shows we make it a point to watch are on History channel or A&E.

House wasn't a surprise lower ratings this season and the high paychecks. There was no way it could have been renewed.

I saw it on Twitter.

Disappointed they didn't bring back Lisa Edelstein for House. At least I haven't heard they will.

Just saw the guy I got the info on from Twitter announce he was mistaken and The Secret Circle was canceled. Nikita renewed though if you watch that. I don't.

There is no way I see Lisa coming back after how she left the show. I'm not happy with how she was terminated. Just not happy with the end result, but that happens on many shows. Sorry not saying anything more about the situation.

I love Castle and watch it each week but I've gotten behind on Vampire Diaries, Revenge, and Grey's Anatomy. Thank goodness for DVR's. At least I'll have something to watch during the summer months. I don't seem to watch as much TV anymore I'm either on my laptop or reading.

I am on season two of vampire diaries, watching fringe second season right now, and waiting for True blood to put out another season. We get our through netflix

Season three is a doozy. Try to stay away from spoilers if you don't want to know what happens. Because last night's finale was a big one.

I thought the Secret Circle was cancelled as well. Was on twitter the other night, last night and I tweeted along with others how can the season end the way it did and it isn't coming back.

Maybe I got misinformation. I'll have to keep an eye out. There are some CW shows yet to be announced. Like Hart of Dixie. Nikita was just renewed, so it shouldn't be long before we know about all of them.

Glad to hear about Hart of Dixie, mixed feelings about Secret Circle. Like I said they ended it like it would be back so not sure why it ended like that when they new it would not be renewed.

Kevin Williamson said he had just gotten word it was canceled, so maybe they really had no clue it wouldn't last. I don't think it did much better than Gossip Girl or 90210, it's just more expensive to make.

Costs of Secret Circle were high and the ratings were dropping. I had it at 50-50 and so did many other people. Hart Of Dixie had lower costs and when I knew Gossip Girl with lower ratings was renewed I thought Heart Of Dixie should have been renewed, as the ratings were higher than GG.

I know not everyone is happy about the renewals and cancels, but each network has to decide how much money they can afford to spend on a show. How well does the show do overseas and can the show be sold to bring in money for years after new episodes are airing. That is the reason Gossip Girl was renewed with lower ratings, as it does really well overseas and the DVD Sales are high. People are buying GG even at the high price it was released recently.

I am hereby thanking the tv gods for Supernatural, Castle and Fringe!
And I do not understand how such a rubbish as Grimm gets a second chance ^^ But then I am also still curious how they will dubb that crap to REAL German *lol*

Actually, Grimm was renewed before your post and announced by NBC first. I am pointing it out because the show has quite a following and to be on Friday Night and do better then shows on other nights really says something. Friday is considered to be the worst night to be on, but honestly Blue Bloods has proved that isn't true. Blue Bloods had the same ratings when it aired on Wednesday. There have been other shows that did well on Fridays in fact must say this season has been a ratings race with Uncover Boss and Shark Tank at 8:00pm. I like both shows, but prefer Uncover Boss.

Yes, Grimm had been renewed like a week or so ago, but not that many others had, so I waited to write about it until more had been announced.

Wow! A lot of shows that I watch are going away. I am most happy that my two favorites, Supernatural and Once Upon A Time will be returning though.

I can't afford TV either but I do have netflix I can afford 7.99 a month without the cable and dish people adding 50 or 60 dollars of taxes. Any way I have watched the Vampire Diaries on netflix.
