Bristol Palin, famous for being an unwed teen mother, is speaking out against the President's support for marriage equality.
Bristol is the daughter of a failed Pro-Life, Republican politician. She became an unwed mother at age 17. Her only accomplishments are finishing high school, competing on Dancing With the Stars, appearing on a couple other television shows and becoming the Teen Pregnancy Prevention Ambassador for the Candie's clothing line due to her romp in the hay with Levi Johnston in high school.
Does the president of the United States care what she has to say? Does anybody care what she has to say?
She is the epitome of hypocrisy with this statement: "...we know that in general kids do better growing up in a mother/father home. Ideally, fathers help shape their kids' worldview." If fathers shape the kid's world view and are so important, why doesn't Bristol's son's father, Levi Johnston, have a bigger role in his life? Bristol sought sole custody and child support from Johnston in 2009 and Johnston went on several television shows saying the Palin's wouldn't allow him to see his son. So, if Bristol's son doesn't need a traditional mother/father household, why does everyone else's?
A child raised in any "married" gay or lesbian home in America is likely better off in every way (emotionally, socially and definitely intellectually) than the one being raised singularly by Bristol Palin.
She went on to further criticize the president and the cast of the popular televisions show Glee: "...it would've been nice if the President would've been an actual leader and helped shape their thoughts instead of merely reflecting what many teenagers think after one too many episodes of Glee."
To say that a man of Barack Obama's caliber bases his personal thoughts and feelings off a teen television show is absurd. To be expected from someone emotionally stuck in their teen years, unable to establish a career and desperate for the spotlight...or any attention at all.
Bristol, keep speaking about things you know about, such as teen pregnancy and leave the intelligent conversations to those qualified to participate.
