I might have posted this years ago. Some slight changes in it since then.
This is something we used to make and love, yet somehow got away from.
The idea started when my wife was making cornbread. We all like corn bread, but don't want it all of the time. I thought "Wouldn't a change of taste to it be good?" There were various vegetables on hand that we had grown. I talked my idea over with my wife and what we ended up with was scrumptious.
We used all fresh vegetables but frozen of canned would probably work. We used corn, butterbeans(baby limas), ripe and green tomatoes, squash, I think some onion or garlic and I don't remember what else. It does not make any different what kind of vegetables, just so you like them. You will have to use tomatoes or something with a lot of liquid or add water to dilute it.
Put all of your fresh vegetables in a blender and puree them. You can add salt and pepper or other spices to your taste.
Use this in place of whatever liquid you use in your cornbread. Use the cornbread recipe you always use. Cook as you always do.
As the old saying goes "Try it, you'll like It.”
