Thanks, C. I am reminded so much lately in the volunteer work that I do that even we Christians make value judgements in dealing with those who are in situations we can't imagine ourselves getting into. God didn't tell us to love the worthy but just to love our neighbors (whomever needs help). More and more I am amazed when I hear the stories of the girls that they have been able to even survive. I daily am faced with how easily that could have be me.

I can't imagine anyone envying me, Clifford. Too much of what I write comes from mistakes I have made or at least from hard earned wisdom and some critical self analysis. Thank goodness God hasn't waited for me to be worthy to love me!

Well, you know what the old saying is, "The world demands wisdom and experience is the best producer of wisdom. The most valuable and lasting lessons are learned from 'bad' experience."

I have learned that God does not love me for what I am but for what He knows I can be.

Envy is an ugly human feeling... I would really hate to know that I associated with people capable of envy...

I always like to stick around people with talent. We can be inspired by them.

Richard I try to listen to what God says about me that I was worth dying for and what the man I love says that I am worth living for. It works pretty well. I don't ever want to forget that everyone has a story and at the center of it is the need to be loved.

Very well stated, but am I really a fool for not loving an axe murderer? Further, I don't think of those who do as fools--I think of them as dead. When one is tossed in a grave, I might say, "The poor fool. If only she hadn't loved an axe murderer," but I'm really just using a figure of speech.
