Glee season 3 continues with episode 19, "Prom-asaurus." Rachel's coming to terms with choking during her audition and instead has smaller dreams now. Prom is one of them. Speaking of Prom, Brittany needs to step up as class president since she's done nothing since being elected. She vetoes the ideas of the prom committee and fires them when they don't like her idea: dinosaurs.
Preparing for Prom
Sue announces the Prom Court. Rick the Stick, Brittany, and Finn are up for King, while Missy, Santana, and Quinn are the Queen nominees. Becky's upset to find she's not one of the nominees and smashes the xylophone. Will congratulates the nominees and reveals they'll be singing again. Brittany announces the theme and says Santana and Quinn will be counting the ballots. She also bans hair gel. Poor Blaine.
Rachel may not have cared about not being nominated, but she's not happy to see Finn and Quinn campaign posters. He explains that Quinn almost died coming to their wedding and he figured this was the least he could do when she asked him. Speaking of Quinn, she's doing much better in PT and beginning to take small steps. She does end up falling, but Joe thinks she should show everyone her progress. She wants to wait until she can walk into the choir room or into Prom.
Becky feels like her crown was stolen, and while Sue understands that she's upset, she tells her she didn't have the votes and her bad attitude didn't help. Kurt and Blaine join Rachel as she sings "Big Girls Don't Cry." She explains to them that she doesn't want to see Finn and Quinn crowned and dancing together. Kurt doesn't want to risk the write-in ballot again. Blaine's not happy about the gel ban and says he'll look like Medusa. They decide to throw an anti-prom, and while Puck's in and Finn's going to support Rachel after he fulfills his obligations, Santana thinks it's just Rachel reacting to not getting her way. She tells her not to ruin one of their last nights together. Finn finds out that Quinn's not above using the sympathy vote. She wants to win.
Glee Prom
Mike loves the dinosaur theme as he and Tina walk in. Brittany takes the stage first with the Cheerios for "Dinosaur." Finn goes looking for Quinn and finds her standing at the sink in the bathroom. She explains her legs are getting better, but she wanted it to be a surprise when she walked up for her crown. Finn points out that she has everything—the crown, Yale—and he picked her over Rachel—who has nothing, not even him at the moment. She's just the same Quinn. She asks him to stay and dance with her because it's mandatory for the nominees to have one dance together.
Rachel, Kurt, Blaine, Puck, and Becky enter a hotel room for their anti-prom, and while Becky's very enthusiastic, the others don't really have any ideas on what to do. Back at prom, Santana sings "Love You Like a Love Song" with Tina and Brittany. Sam and Mercedes dance, and she waves at Shane and his date. Finn dances with Quinn, but then stops and tells her he'll finish when she stand up. Joe gets involved, and then Sue gets in the middle of the boys, wondering if she's going to have to throw him out again. He walks out.
Kurt tells Blaine he'd go to prom with him if he wanted, but Blaine refuses to give in to the gel ban, explaining he looks bad without it. Finn shows up as Rachel walks out of the bathroom in her dress. He gets them to agree to go to prom, but Puck and Becky stay behind. Puck says he'll go next year. Blaine can't escape Brittany at prom, and Kurt tells him he can do it. Sam, Mike, Artie, Rory, and Joe sing "What Makes You Beautiful," and everyone loves it. Becky's beating Puck at strip poker and tells him she wanted the crown. He gets dressed and crowns them anti-prom king and queen with the beer box.
Rachel apologizes to Quinn for not being supportive, and Quinn forgives her easily since she didn't even know. Rachel explains that she still saw her the way she used to instead of seeing the new Quinn—still beautiful, but now humbled and inspiring. She may have lost a lot, but she's proud she's now Quinn's friend. She voted for her. Sue sees Puck and Becky walk in with their crowns. For once, Becky didn't mind everyone staring. Becky distracts Sue while Puck spikes the punch.
Quinn and Santana count the votes. Since Brittany didn't win King, Santana doesn't want to be Queen. It turns out Quinn won by one vote, but she doesn't feel different. She asks Santana if she want to leave the place having made a difference. When Blaine walks in without hair gel, he shocks everyone, and Brittany admits it's really bad and tells him he can go use gel. Kurt stops him, glad to see him without hair product. He wants everyone know how proud he is of his boyfriend.
Figgins brings up the Prom Court and Kurt as last year's Queen to crown the winners. Finn wins King, and yet again, the Queen was determined by write-in votes: Rachel. She's shocked, but what Santana and Quinn did is a good thing. Quinn and Santana sing "Take My Breath Away" for their dance. Rachel's worried it's a joke, but Finn tells her she inspires everyone like she does him and she's amazing. Much to everyone's surprise, Quinn stands up during the song. Rachel never thought she'd win queen, but now, she thinks anything's possible.
