Kim Kardashian has always been very close with her family, including her sisters and she is constantly talking about how important her family is on her reality show, Keeping Up with the Kardashians. Well, it didn't sound like her family was that important when Scott Disick held a surprise baby shower for Kourtney Kardashian in the Riverhead area of New York at the end of April.
Scott had been working very hard to arrange everything for the shower, including planning an extravagant menu for the baby shower. Guests enjoyed mesclun salad with shallows vinaigrette and seasonal soup for appetizers, vegetarian pasta, fish or chicken for the entrée and a specialized cake for dessert. And while Kourtney and Mason enjoyed the party, Kim Kardashian was nowhere in sight. Among 60 guests, one would assume that Kourtney's sister would at least be a part of it.
But Kim and her mother thought it was more important to attend the White House Correspondents' Dinner. "Everyone was under the impression that Kim would be there, but as soon as she was invited to the White House Correspondents' Dinner, she pulled out," Life & Style magazine has shared.
On the family's reality show, Keeping Up with the Kardashians, the sisters are caught fighting and skipping out on important events, so Kourtney could be a bit sad that her sister chose an event rather than her family's baby shower for Kourtney's future daughter.
Neither sister has spoken out on the issue, so maybe there are some unspoken tensions between the sisters.
