The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Melissa Gorga admits that watching Sunday's episode with her epic fight with sister-in-law Teresa Giudice was painful. She explains she has a knot in her stomach every time the two women fight because she knows her husband desperately wants a sister. In her newest Bravo blog, Melissa explains that there is just one thing she wants from Teresa--respect. Teresa should respect her brother's marriage enough to not go after Melissa's jugular every time they are together.
In her blog, it seems that Melissa is convinced that Teresa wants Melissa and Joe to be unhappy, so Teresa can have a moment of happiness in her own marriage. Teresa has had a troubling year, with bankruptcy and her husband's legal troubles, but she should keep all of that to herself. Why share it with the world and try to bring down her own brother? All of the pieces are coming together.
"I try to be pretty easy in a lot of my blogs and tip toe around Teresa, but this time she is playing with fire. I am woman who loves my husband more than anything in this world. I will bend over backwards for him and my children. She knows that and I think at times she wishes she had more on me," Melissa writes in her blog for The Real Housewives of New Jersey. And she does have a point. At some point, Melissa has to stand up for both herself and her family. It's like Teresa is poking around to see what will get Melissa fired up. In case it gets bad, Melissa can always get blamed, right?
"We have three beautiful children together and are a family. It's called respect, and I'm not sure Teresa ever will understand that she doesn't have to like me, but she has to respect my marriage to her brother and keep her 'rumors' to herself," she continues. The only thing Melissa wants from Teresa is respect, but as long as Melissa is doing better than Teresa, she probably won't get anything that merely resembles respect. Unless Melissa is willing to stoop to her level, she can kiss respect from Teresa goodbye.
