Rudeness reaches new high and low on Gather! I wrote a tongue and cheek article yesterday about deleting comments. It was meant to be light hearted and funny, but instead it turned out to be a dog fight.
That's all right, if it makes conservation that's what we're here for, or so I thought. What I am writing about now is a couple of the comments within the article. People actually come into the conversation, which did get heated at times, to slam me about writing the article.
If you don't like the topic, why are you here? Why do people stalk my articles only to slam me? It must be my good looks, my outstanding spelling, or even my great personality.
If I don't like an article, I don't comment, or if I comment it is to make a point, but not to slam the author who wrote it for writing it. There is one person in particular, and you know who you are. I appreciate your comments, but it would be nice if you would say something nice on occasion then I would understand your occasional nasty attitude.
We all have bad days, but I think some people get a kick out of getting on any article and interrupting the flow with rude comments.

The vast majority of the time, if I don't agree with someone's post, I just don't comment or try to state information pointing to another viewpoint.
I know I started approving all my comments on political post because some people just get out of hand.
Uh, sorry Carol, but you do your fair share of slamming~like I told Sue B, if ya can't take it, don't dish it! BTW, are you 2 alters???
My thought is practice what you preach,,
Of course, we all know that these deluded right wingers cannot answer the truths I reveal as their arguments have no validity whatsoever. But that's for a different thread ....
