we are all at the mercy of the money people. they will continue to make a large gap between the rich and the poor and eventually people will take drastic measures to get what they want. we will see a lot of destruction if these things continue.

I don't think we know enough to make that judgment guy. The people that are rich are the ones that gave us plumb salaries. They are moving overseas because it is now a world market and they can't compete paying us so much.
A lot of us could see what would happen but the gov't went there anyway. Now we need surgery. We need a board of men like Trump who has working sense to find out what is the best way to recover. Do we charge fee's for selling to us? Do we close borders?

It has gotten so bad under our current administration and as far as I know he hasn't called for a volunteer of our largest retail money makers to get ideas. And he hasn't suggested anything of his own.

Moving overseas, free trade itself, was a calculated strategy to kill the unions, the champions of the middle and poor classes, and therefor the money base of the Democratic Party, therefor making both parties worship at the throne of corporate America. You should be a lot less worried about communism, and a lot more worried about fascism, and the hell of it is that it doesn't matter who you vote for, at this point..

I think both Ron and Glome are correct but I do not intend to vote for this administration and hope and pray that he's on his way out. If not, we will survive somehow. Don't know how, but we always do. I hope we are not invited to a "drink the kool-ade" meeting as an answer. It seems us old ones are doomed anyway (death panels in health plan) and we've already legislated the unwanted unborn to a legal death. I wonder if God minds.

I can only wonder how my parents felt when I was born on June 6, 1968. The US was in such turmoil. Bobby Kennedy was assassinated that day, the unrest was palpable. The unrest calmed and the cycle begun again. I think it all goes in cycles and at this time in the world's history communication is so fast that now we hear much more about the human destruction faster and faster. Jesus is the answer for me. My hope is in Him and it helps keep the worry away. What is going to happen in this life is what is............I nor my worries can change it. I can choose to do the very best for others with each day I am blessed with. That is my goal. :)

There are things we could do to avert the destruction of earth but we haven't the will to take on that task. Given our nature, I don't see relocating to another planet as any kind of solution - we would just destroy that one too. Waiting for God to bail some of us out after we are all dead may work for some but others of us would like to help ourselves here and now.

I didn't. My Aunt opened the Bible and showed what a wonderful plan God worked out for us. & When He came, He said just like a doctor comes after the sick and not the well, I've come after the sinners & not the good guy. :) Of course that's because He knew we are all self centered sinners & there were no good guys among us :)
Any of us would be glad to give the basics of how to become a child of God. It changed all our lives & it will yours too.

Yes, I do know the answer to that. I also know that God is not some sort of mommy/daddy figure who will go around cleaning up our messes.

I am thoroughly convinced that Jesus is the answer for the world today. He always has been...and shall be whether he is received or not...there are so many different opinions, none of which are working outside of Christ. As for me and my house, we have decided to serve the Lord and Savior who is non other than Jesus Christ...I am not interested in those who attempt to please people, simple because people will never be pleased. My mind travels back to many years ago as a university student who studied the work of Abraham Maslow, as social scientist. Even he admitted that people are insatisfiable. They always want more or less, nothing is ever right. I have found that when we follow the principles taught by Christ, we are more than conquers even if it may seem to others that we are not. His principles are nothing short of love...the prince of peace He is...not the prince of flesh, but the prince of peace. I am convinced. When it comes to folk, they will hurt you, desert you, even take your soul if you let them. Ah, but in Christ I have learned how not to let them...and this is real, without compromise. Alice, you want to know what I think. For over two thousand years people have been looking tho the heavens and expecting God to fix things and it hasn't happened. If we want a better word lets get off our tails and make one. there is such a thing as concentual reality which means the world is the way it is because we want it that way. As for the bible, It is like a raft to help us navigated across a troubled world. but it only a raft. and to worship as so many do is idolatry

But John, God is in control of the timing of His own plan. He said no man knows the day or hour. But when these things (end time happenings) BEGIN to happen (I can't remember the last part :) but it's something like; look up, for your redemption draweth nigh.

On the other point, all of us that argue with you ARE trying to change the world. We never quit. We many be here for 200 more years. That's why we fight so hard against Liberals :)

Ever since about 140 Ad when the empire started persecuting Christians people have said it is a sign of the end times and the Roman empire was the Beast but instead the empire became Christian and Christians started warring against each other Then it was all supposed to end in 1000 ad because scripture said so. Then it was the black plague that was suppose to be God's punishment. and on and on. All this is documented history. The bottom line is, it is dangerous and even foolish to see t he sign of the end times in every thing that happens. This is a fractured world. Some of us try to make it a bit less fractured but not by trying to scare the Hell out of our brothers and sisters

I know what you're saying. I wondered if end times were rumored at the time of the all the massacring of the Jews. But never in my life time has there been a time that seemed like the end. Or any of our churches thought it was getting into end times. This is the first time in my life me and my friends and the church's around here that are conservative really feel this way. We could be wrong.
But, God said to watch. You cannot know the day or the hour, but when you see the beginnings of all the things that are written regarding end times, watch for Him. But between now and then ... we can only surmise. watching the increase in Earth quakes, tsunamis getting worse, Poor Japan with her tainted air and water. He said that the morals at that time would be as immoral as it was in the days of Noah, before the flood. There are many reasons to think it might really happen at this time. It even said there will be much lands rising against their own governments ... and then country against country.
At the end, in Jerusalem the Jews will run to a place God will prepare for them. I believe Muslims will have a neutron bomb dropped, or some kind of nuclear bomb, because in the place where they are they saw men with their skin falling of their bodies. (a little guess work there)
Meanwhile we keep working and praying. And trying to rid America of our current and lovely president :)

I agree with John. People have been saying it's the ends times for thousands of years. So is it really? I was always told that it would happen when we weren't expecting it or watching for it and were distracted by something else. So with so many people thinking it's coming any day now, it won't happen.
