Perfect Day for a Birthday Pool Party

Without a chance for rain, Sunday was a perfect day for my grandson's Birthday Pool Party. Dominic turned double digits yesterday. Being a boy and 10 years old, he wanted a cool pool party.

The day was sunny and the decorating commenced.

 

 

 

Everyone, including Dad was busy putting up Sponge Bob decorations. According to Dominic, Sponge Bob "RULES."

 

 

While Mom went for Pizza, everyone cooled off inside...except Dominic. He was anxiously waiting for the arrival of his guests. Sticking his feet in the pool, he kept nice and cool.

 

 

He had a real nice haul of presents waiting for him after the kids played in the pool for a while.

 

 

 

Even though we were all off key and sounded terrible, Dominic still loved that we sang Happy Birthday to him and his Sponge Bob cake.

 

 

Opening presents was his favorite part of the party. (Isn't that true with any kid?)

His grandpa got him a Speedo set for snorkling. They go scallop digging each year during Scallop Season.

 

We also got him a super-dooper remote controlled Speed Boat.

 

 

A great party on a great day! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Dominic!!!

I love the overhang over the pool. It is totally enclosed like you could use it in the winter? Looks like he had a great time. Happy Brithday to your grand son

No, it is just a screen cage. Way too cold. Although the cage keeps bugs and leaves out, it has a tendency to keep the water several degrees cooler.

Hey, how come I didn't get an invitation? I love parties .... LOL, oops, I forgot, Dominic doesn't know me. I know he had a wonderful birthday. Do you remember when you were ten? I do and wow, that was a long time ago. Two digets moves him out of the little boy category into the big boy category. Happy Beliated Birthday to Dominic.
