Does Robert Pattinson Want Fans to Forget...

Does Robert Pattinson want his fans to forget about the Twilight series of films? Does he want the memories of Edward Cullen and Bella Swan to simply fade into a distant memory? That's what some people think. Is Kristen Stewart in tune with Rob's thinking?

According to a report from E!, it seems she is thinking that way, too. She recently announced that she plans to change her life (does this mean her career, too?) 'after Twilight.'

Some speculate Rob is running along the same path as his Twilight co-star and long time girlfriendÂ—and they make that assumption based on the roles he is presently seeking. He's in talks right now to star with Guy Pierce in a film called Rover, and he's already signed on for a role in the psychological thriller about the hunt for Saddam Hussein called Mission: Blacklist.

Despite these scintillating roles, should Rob relegate his Twilight role to the way, way back of fan's minds? Is that really a wise career move?

It seems Robert Pattinson is tired of being a heart-throb. Everywhere he goes he has to hide behind dark glasses and slip in and out of restaurants to avoid screaming little girls and yesÂ—even screaming grown women. He didn't do much to dissuade that imagine, either, when he filmed both Cosmopolis and Bel AmiÂ—both of which put him right back into the realm of sexy, handsome male specimen.

Perhaps Rob should pay closer attention to how Kristen Stewart has furthered her career. Yes, she's taking on far different roles than that of Bella Swan in Twilight, but she's also stepped out on a limb and really challenged herself so as not to be so typecast. Her upcoming film Snow White and the Huntsman will display her talents in a way that Twilight only brushed the surface.

Robert Pattinson should maybe go easy when it comes to leaving Twilight in the dust. That way if all else failsÂ—and no one really believes that will happenÂ—he'll have Edward Cullen's image to fall back upon. At the very least he'll keep a few of those love sick women in his corner until his next big role casts him in a whole new light!

I think Robert Pattinson is handling his career just fine and doesn't need advice from anyone but his management team and family members.

bettyellyn@sbcglobal.net I think it's the critics that need to leave Twilight in the dust at least as far as Robert Pattinson is concerned. They need to critique whichever movie they are reviewing in terms of his performance in that movie, instead of comparing it to his performance in the Twilight Saga series. If they did that, they would have given him an excellent review in both Remember Me and Water For Elephants, because he played entirely different characters than Edward Cullen and played them very well. If in every subsequent movie he makes, he is compared to his role as Edward Cullen, he will never please the critics nor catch a break. The audiences seemed to be very pleased with both movies, but I am guessing that many people failed to see those movies because of that unfair criticism by the media who were unable to leave Twilight behind. Those people missed not only 2 good movies, but 2 good acting performances by Robert Pattinson who is very talented and continue to grow as an actor.

Rob does not want to forget twilight, how can he, he owes everything to his twilight fans and the franchise BUT it is almost over, IT IS TIME FOR HIM TO MOVE ON. Where ever he is going with his career is his choice. He has LOTS of money, so he can afford to do whatever makes him happy. It doesn't matter if its the RIGHT or WRONG, time will tell BUT it was his own CHOICE. Life is about CHOICES, what is important is what makes you happy. I admire him for that and I wish him luck!
