I am interested in understanding and learning about a certain human phenomena: the phenomena of why some people seem cursed meaning; no matter what they try nothing works for them and others who do not even try things seemingly fall into place, as if they were chosen or picked for their human role.
I am going to take a stab at this question. I think its all about the blood and what is in it; DNA. I believe the people who seem to have privileged lives must have a certain genetic variant that sets them apart from the cursed or failed beings. I do not think God has a role in this, instead; it is more about human history coupled with natural selection and evolution. I would guess that God is the only thing that these of us whom feel or are failures in life have to hope for because the genetically superior beings are not going to give up their blessings nor can they since it is a preprogrammed genetic state from within. So to everyone who feels like things just never go right it is not your fault because it is all in, and from the bloodline, that you have been created from. The failed line was created from ancestors whom based their decisions on emotional appeal versus physical appeal firstly. Note: physical appeal is the first drive then the emotional bond is created; with the reverse the emotion appeal comes first and then a physical bond is developed and in this model the physical nature has nothing to do with appearance but a need for human contact. When the physical is first it grants the offspring two major advantages; first they have the physical look to attract, and second there is a hidden aggression found in good looking people that drives them more than unattractive people. Hence it is all about the blood. So what do we do about it? I say go out and breed with the most aggressive and attractive people if you want your sons and daughters to get ahead in this world. Or you can wait on God like the Christians have been doing for the last two thousand years!

As to those who fail part of that is coincidence. Part is luck. (Some is luck of the DNA.) But the largest part is social. We could have a much higher proportion of successful people if we were cooperating instead of competing. But instead we have adopted a system (different systems but basically the same in most other cultures) in which we feel as if we were participating in a zero-sum game in which for us to win, others must lose and for them to win, we must lose. The result is that we all lose most of the time.
Which brings me back to the statement; it is in the DNA because gay people keep on cumin!
Homosexual people reproduce. You may have noticed.
But besides that, we don't know what produces such states but it probably is a mixture of many factors.
I think you're right about the testosterone levels.
Mental success may be indicative of inner peace without necessarily having great riches ... I prefer the latter by far over the former.
You wrote a very interesting article by providing a point of view not normally expressed. There may be some merit to your reasoning about some people always appear to be successful while others never seem to make the grade even as middle class successes.
Somehow, by simply pointing out attractiveness as a winning criteria, it may not be true at all for I have found that beauty and intelligence does not normally come in the same package.
My guess is that it is the upbringing in early years and yes, I must admit, DNA, which are the genes that appears to be better able to learn and comprehend that the genes of unsuccessful people. But also, it is the experience one amasses in life that brings joy, hurt, pleasure, unhappiness, and a mix of many emotions that allow a person to either grow from or be conquered.
Good article. Makes one think a little bit.
Elizabeth I - the last Tudor monarch - was born at Greenwich on 7 September 1533, the daughter of Henry VIII and his second wife, Anne Boleyn.
Her early life was full of uncertainties, and her chances of succeeding to the throne seemed very slight once her half-brother Edward was born in 1537. She was then third in line behind her Roman Catholic half-sister, Princess Mary. Roman Catholics, indeed, always considered her illegitimate and she only narrowly escaped execution in the wake of a failed rebellion against Queen Mary in 1554.
Elizabeth succeeded to the throne on her half-sister's death in November 1558. She was very well-educated (fluent in six languages), and had inherited intelligence, determination and shrewdness from both parents.
