Chris Matthews dope-slapping Mitt Romney over dissing president Carter

This was really good to see. Chris Matthews delivered a concise and stinging indictment of Mitt Romney's latest iteration of the common Republican practice of disrespecting former president Carter. Carter did many things right during his presidency and many more after his presidency ended. Kudos to Matthews for reminding Mr. 1% of that fact and challenging him to show any sign that he has a quarter of the guts Carter has. Go Chris! Check it out.

And Carter has done quite a few things since leaving office that reflect well on him. I wonder what the Bushes are doing.

He made a comment that Carter would even kill Bin Laden. Did he also mention that the special military unit that took out Bin Laden was started by Carter? (So he was involved!)

If we had re-electd Carter, we would have had a different approach to our dependency on foreign oil, and might well have been independent by now. At the time of Carter's presidency, Brazil made the choices we should have. Look where they are now.

Btw, Matthews promoted Bush during the 2000 campaign, and cheered him on during much of this first term. It was funny to watch Matthews later try to re-write history, feigning his invented criticism of going into Iraq. I wonder if he is opining on principle now, or if he just thinks he has an audience.

Matthews has not hesitated to go after anyone, if he is of a mind. He's gone after Obama several times and Bush as well.

The thing I don't like about Matthews is that he started revising history after it became apparent that Bush lied us into war. He pretended he wasn't part of the media, which was pounding the war drums.

I voted for Jimmy Carter and I liked him. He is a humanitarian. Fewer people were taken hostage under Jimmy Carter than were killed under the cowboy Ronald Reagan. Carter cared about people and he deserves respect.

Mitt Romney on the other hand has a history of bullying people and exporting jobs away from America. He is a stooge of the drug companies and other fat cats. I don't know why anyone would vote for itt.
